In 2026, Aus9ers will be selecting an Australian 29er Sailing Team consisting of 9 boats to attend the 2026 World Championships to be held in Kiel from July 2nd to July 9th 2026
Positions on the team will be offered to eligible sailors based on rankings from the following events –
1/ 2026 Australian 29er Championships to be held at Sandy Bay from Saturday 3rd January 2026 to Friday 9th January 2026 and,
2/ 2026 NSW State Championships to be held at Woollahra Sailing Club from Friday 3rd April 2026 to Monday 6th April 2026.
Nine positions will be available for qualification at the 2026 29er Nationals. Intent to compete at the 2026 29er World Championships will need to be confirmed in writing to the Aus 9ers President by Saturday 28th February 2026.
Unfilled positions will be available for qualification at the 2026 NSW State Championships. Intent to compete at the 2026 29er World Championships will need to be confirmed in writing to the Aus 9ers President by Saturday 11th April 2026.
3/ Ballot
Where any positions in the 9 boat allocation are not filled, a ballot will be used to determine the final makeup of the team.
