Australian 9er National Championships 2025
It will be held at Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club between 28 December 2024 – 3rd January 2025.
We welcome Australian and International 29er, 49erFX and 49erFX sailors to compete at our National Championship.
 Location
Lake Cootharaba is 170km North of Brisbane. It is a large salt-water lake on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, with predominant sea breezes, providing some of the world’s best flat water sailing conditions! Fed by the Noosa River and the Coral Sea, the water depth is consistent at 1.5m in racing areas.
Qualification Event for Australian Sailing Youth Squad
This program is designed to support youth sailors who achieved strong results at the Class National Championships, meeting the Youth Squad selection
criteria guidelines and offers resources to aid youth sailors in their preparation for upcoming international or significant domestic regattas tailored to their respective classes.
Selection for the National Youth Squad is determined by national class results outlined in the National Youth Squad selection guidelines.
