Australian 29er National Championships 2026
It will be held at Sandy Bay Sailing Club between 3rd January 2026 and 9th January 2026.
We welcome Australian and International 29er sailors to compete at our National Championship.
Location
Sandy Bay Sailing Club is a youth club that has hosted several National Championships for off-the-beach/dinghy boat classes. It is affiliated with the Derwent Sailing Squadron, located just a 5-minute drive from the club. The club is located on the bank of the Derwent River, with boats launching from the beach. It is situated 15 minutes’ drive south of Hobart City Centre, 30 minutes’ drive from Hobart International Airport, and 3.5 hours’ drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal in Devonport.
Qualification Event for Australian Sailing Youth Squad
This program is designed to support youth sailors who achieved strong results at the Class National Championships, meeting the Youth Squad selection criteria guidelines and offers resources to aid youth sailors in their preparation for upcoming international or significant domestic regattas tailored to their respective classes.
Selection for the National Youth Squad is determined by national class results outlined in the National Youth Squad selection guidelines.
